1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
“No is a complete sentence.” I had no clue that I was being held hostage by the word “yes”. My entire life I’ve always felt the need to explain or justify my choices out of fear of rejection, insecurity, or guilt. This simple sentence has increased my confidence, added value to my voice, and has helped me to reclaim power over my choices and commitments.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
I get excited when God confirms that I am participating in His plan for my life (which is typically revealed when I’m serving/helping others). I love living in the moment! Every day is an opportunity to live intentionally and on purpose. I still find myself in awe that God would use me to carry a torch of freedom for women who are struggling to flourish and live abundantly free in God’s purpose for their life.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
As a wife, mother, employee, community leader, and (fill in the blank), within the daily hustle and bustle of serving as the primary caretaker, women tend to lose themselves a bit. I would teach women how to tell their story. When a woman learns how to tell her story, she will be able to identify and address certain feelings in a healthy, productive manner. One woman’s story may be the key to another woman’s freedom.

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
I would be a 21-year-old (stuck in the 90s!). Movies such as House Party and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off seem like the “rite of teen-aged passage” that I missed! Since I was raised by my grandparents, I watched a ton of westerns, M.A.S.H, and Price is Right (I am sure this is the reason that I have always been told that I’m a “young-old” soul or wise beyond my years.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
My husband and I would call this “Planned Spontaneity”! We keep a list of cool date activities and mark them off as we go. Since we’re on a strict budget we created “Date Within Your Means”, simply to say there is no reason to ever stop dating whether it be the kids, work, money, time, etc. Since we are great friends and we genuinely enjoying each other’s company, this makes date night even better!
